2. Color Pipeline Architecture: sRGB/AdobeRGB to KCMY Contone
When an image file (PDF, EPS, TIFF, AVIF, or PNG) is ingested by BendiRip, it passes through a 3-stage high-precision color transformation pipeline:
- Input Profile Normalization: Source RGB or CMYK vector/raster elements are mapped into CIELAB profile connection space (PCS) using 32-bit floating point precision.
- Perceptual & RelColor Rendering Intent Mapping: Gamut mapping is calculated against vendor ICC media profiles (e.g. 3M IJ180Cv3, Avery 1105, or Oracal 3651).
- KCMY Contone Encoding: CIELAB values are transformed into HP Latex 6-channel or 4-channel byte arrays (`KCMY` order: Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) formatted specifically for HP PJL raster commands.
